Discover Sagantara Teas
A JOURNEY THROUGH AROMA, TASTE, AND STILLNESS
All teas served in the Sagantara Chinese Tea Ceremony are hand‑selected by Haiying from her home province of Fujian and neighbouring tea mountains. They are the most premium grades – not the commercial blends found in souvenir shops. Each tea is purchased directly from well‑established local vendors at the source, ensuring authenticity, traceability, and exceptional quality.
The ceremony is not a performance. It is an intimate, interactive exploration of each tea’s character – its aroma, its taste, and the meditation it invites. Below you will find the teas that may appear in your ceremony, depending on your caffeine sensitivity and personal preference.

The art of brewing – a living ceremony
Each tea has its own character, and each requires a different brewing technique to reveal its full soul. White tea is treated gently with cooler water; oolongs ask for heat and patience; jasmine green tea demands a lighter touch; and rock oolong rewards a near‑boiling rinse. Different vessels – gaiwan, purple clay teapot, glass pitcher – are chosen for each tea to optimise the aroma, taste, and meditation depth.
During the ceremony, Haiying will not only brew the tea but also explain why she chooses a particular vessel and temperature for that specific leaf. You will learn, taste, and meditate together. It is not a show – it is a shared discovery.
How we choose your tea
After you book, you will complete a short questionnaire. Haiying selects the tea that best matches your caffeine sensitivity, health needs, and intention for the ceremony. You may also simply say: “Surprise me with the most memorable cup.”
All teas are premium grade, sourced directly from trusted farmers and cooperatives mainly in Fujian, besides the Agarwood tea that is from Hainan. No mass‑market blends – only leaves that tell a story.
