Private Yoga Instruction
Enhance water comfort through yoga, kick start your first yoga practice, learn to establish your own practice, or deepen your practice by learning a new style. We specialize in restorative yoga, chair yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, and Kundalini yoga.
In this one-on-one in-person course, you will learn how to integrate different yoga practices into your real life, as a first-timer / beginner to yoga. No flexibility or prior yoga experience required. We will help assess your needs, and teach you the specific yoga practices that can be easily adopted into your daily life. After just 10 sessions with 75-min each, you will be able to guide yourself in your daily yoga practice, anywhere you are at any time, and experience tranquility and peace.
After this one-on-one in-person course, you will be able to establish your own restorative yoga practice, a restful, passive practice that uses props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks to fully support the body in comfortable poses. Postures are held for long periods—often 5 to 20 minutes—allowing the mind and body to relax deeply and activate the nervous system's healing response. No flexibility or prior yoga experience required. 10 sessions of 75-min each in total.
After this one-on-one in-person course, you will be able to establish your own Yoga Nidra or "yogic sleep" practice, which is a guided meditation practice done lying down. It places you in a relaxed state between being awake and sleeping. Your body rests deeply while your mind stays aware. No flexibility or prior yoga experience required. 10 sessions of 75-min each in total.
After this one-on-one in-person course, you will be able to establish your own Chair Yoga Practice, a gentle style of yoga where you do poses while sitting on a chair or standing and using it for support. It adapts traditional movements like stretches and twists so people with limited mobility, balance issues, or desk jobs can practice safely. No flexibility or prior yoga experience required. 10 sessions of 75-min each in total.
After this one-on-one in-person course, you will be able to establish your own Kundalini Yoga practice, a spiritual and physical practice known as the "yoga of awareness". It combines dynamic breathing techniques (pranayama), physical postures (kriyas), chanting (mantras), and meditation to awaken dormant energy at the base of the spine and guide it upward through the chakras. No flexibility or prior yoga experience required. 10 sessions of 75-min each in total.
After this one-on-one in-person course, you will be able to establish your own meditation practice, a mind-body practice that trains attention and awareness. It helps you calm your thoughts, reduce stress, and see your mental habits clearly. Instead of stopping all thoughts, you learn to watch them without judgment. No flexibility or prior yoga experience required. 10 sessions of 75-min each in total.
After this one-on-one in-person course, you will be able to establish your own Pranayama practice, an ancient yogic practice of conscious breath control. Derived from Sanskrit, it combines prana (vital life force or energy) and either yama (control or restraint) or ayama (expansion or liberation), meaning it is both a method to regulate breath and a way to expand inner energy. No flexibility or prior yoga experience required. 10 sessions of 75-min each in total.
